The first “French fries” (frites) originated in Belgium and were brought to the States by World War veterans. Some of these same veterans heard rumors that the best fries were to be found at a roadside stand outside of Brussels. After risking their lives to find this stand, they indeed agreed these were Simply The World’s Best Fries™. Following a very short negotiation with the armed soldiers, they secured the recipe. These fries are made from that recipe.
