nueva segovia. coffee from this farm was recognized as best nicaraguan coffee, in the coffee of the year competition at the scaa show in 2010, and in the same year took they 3rd place in the cup of excellence. the farm name means "gift from god" and reflects the confidence of the owner our current daily light roast offering. this coffee has a dense and buttery body, followed by flavors of citrus and dates with a finish of walnuts and dry cocoa. drink up!
carnavi, fair trade, organic. grown by the cenaproc co-op in the yungas region of bolivia. this coffee has quickly become a customer favorite. this is an intense coffee roasted dark, yet just shy of french roast, with good body, low acidity, and a delicate sweet-smoky flavor with hints of caramel and vanilla.
huehuetenango, estate. if we set out yo build the perfect coffee, we'd start out with an elegent floral aroma, layer in flavors of citrus and chocolate, support it with a heavy, velvety body, then finish with a sweet, lingering aftertaste. we wouldn't be surprised that it came from a heavenly, high altitude farm nestled in the clouds, and if we tasted it, we'd certainly want to share it with everbody. well this is that coffee! fortunately, mauricio rosales and his crew at finca la maravilla did most of the hard work for us and through oak wood roasting we've allowed this coffee to reach it's marvelous potential. la maravilla translates from spanish to "the marvel" and we couldn't think of a more appropriate name.
yergacheffe, fair trade & organic. this washed coffee comes from the yergacheffe growing region of southern ethiopia, which is known for producing distinctively floral, and fruit-toned coffees. this coffee in particular displays notes of bergamot and lavender complimented by flavors of sweet citrus and vanilla, with hints of berries and chocolate.
