The Scene
The neon sign and corporate-looking canopies may give chain-wary foodies pause before entering this eatery hidden in the corner of a shopping center. Fortunately, the interior has a relaxed romance. Low lights cast appealing shadows on polished wood and comfy booths. There's a lively bar scene supported by locals who look grateful not to have to drive to Buckhead for a drink. Servers are warm and professional.

The Food
An extensive selection of tweaked American favorites offers something for every taste--from lowbrow burgers to upmarket filet mignon. Well-designed salads overshadow a few whimsical starters, like a stringy, goopy crab and lobster dip or a lobster salad overwhelmed by truffle butter. Entrees that play on the classics like pecan-crusted trout sparked with sage or tender beef tenderloin sprinkled with Gorgonzola are sure winners. Desserts can be disappointingly bland, but the infamous fried banana split lives up to its billing.
