The general-store-meets-gourmet-deli theme is a strange but instantly lovable combination. With a nod to its historic past, there is a communal vibe to the restaurant--old, worn picnic tables with benches split the room down the center and high-top stools accompany the soda-fountain counter as strangers eat side-by-side.
