Named after the mighty Mississippi, this is a serious blend. The balanced Colombian beans are blended with other seasonal coffees rotated frequently to create a vibrant blend as powerful as its namesake. Great for drip coffee or espresso.
A blend of latin American and ethiopian coffees, which change seasonally for freshness. Originally conceived as an espresso, the la belle noir also brews extremely well as a drip. The fruity brightness of the ethiopian is counter-balanced by the central Americans to create a lively yet smooth coffee. Notes of cocoa and hints of dark berry fruit make it a great start to the day or a perfect end to a meal.

This grand cru offering is from edison alexander tucanes. He has been growing coffee on his parent's farm for 8 years. Over the last few years he has made a lot of strides to improve the quality of coffee on his farm. With the support of banexport, edison has implemented new practices like soil fertilization, ripe picking, and drying on raised beds to elevate the quality on his farm. Being only 26 years old, edison is a very young farmer and has a clear passion to produce quality coffee. On a sourcing trip to colombia in june, a french truck tried edison's coffee along with 40 or 50 other coffees, and it completely blew us away. Two things stood out that signaled why this was a great coffee. Firstly, we learned it was a geisha variety, and secondly, it was grown at a very high altitude of 6,000 ft.
A treat any time of day. this coffee is processed using the highest quality water and e.a (sugar cane), making it a great naturally processed decaf.

The springtime harvest in Central America is always an exciting time of year, with tons of great coffee to choose from. This year we are very excited to offer a micro-lot from the region of Huehuetenango. This lot comes from producer david Roberto mendez's small 4 hectare farm. Huehuetenango is a famous coffee growing region in northern guatemala, with steep hills and coffee growing communities sprinkled throughout the mountains. French truck coffee has visited Huehuetenango a few times to get a feel for the coffee economy in this famous region.
The kiriga estate is a single estate owned by dr. brian gakunga. The gakunga's have been in coffee for a long time with brian's grandfather buying the farm from a British colonist, back before that was a common practice. The farm is located close to the thika region, an area we have bought coffee from before, and is known for quality. The estate has 80,000 trees and is divided into 8 sections. Each section, draws water from the nearby Chania river. The river is a very important resource for the community, and because of that the gakunga family has made visible efforts to be good stewards. Their efforts include building seepage pits, reclamations stations, and a private dam which holds water in the dry season, and is at times visited by hippos. Single owned estate coffees are not the norm in kenya, with most producers owning smaller sized farms and belonging to a local community washing station, where their coffee is blended with their neighbors. A fully traceable coffee in Kenya
