Residents bring guests here because the restaurant is so representative of the Seattle area's past. Housed in a replica of an Indian longhouse and decorated with dugout canoes, Salmon House provides visitors with Native American artifacts, a stellar waterfront view and of course, seafood. Salmon and black cod are broiled over a smoky alder fire and served with corn bread. Entrees include pasta and seafood, plus fried halibut or cod and french fries.

Ivar's Salmon House is a beautiful cedar replica of a Northwest Indian Longhouse, complete with an open-pit Indian-style barbecue for preparing succulent alder-smoked entrees.
