Black Tea

Darjeeling FOP
origin: India from the foothills of the Himalayas at elevations from 2,000 to 7,000 feet. The flowery orange pekoe (FOP: high quality tea made from the end bud and one new leaf) is light brown in color, and produces a complex, fruity aroma.

Darjeeling FTGFOP, Extra Fancy
origin: India, from a well known garden high in the Darjeeling district, makaibari. The finest tippy golden flowery orange pekoe (FTGFOP: exceptionally high quality tea with plenty of golden tips), produces delicate nuances of fruits and berries, with subtle complexity and superior flavor.

Darjeeling Organic
origin: India organic Darjeeling is one of the world's premier teas. The late spring harvest yields a bright, full flavor with a fruity aroma. A perfect afternoon tea.

Assam Estate FOP
origin: India this tea is grown at higher altitude in the brahmaputra river valley district. Producing a reddish-brown infusion, rich in body, it presents a malty flavor that blends well milk and sugar.

Sri Lanka OP
origin: Sri Lanka formerly known as ceylon. It is grown on steep hillsides, at high elevations. This orange pekoe (op: long pointed leaves, plucked as the buds open into leaves) is bright in color, brisk in flavor and distinctively fruity.

Sri Lanka, Extra Fancy
origin: Sri Lanka formerly known as ceylon, the world's major tea exporting country. This tea is particularly refined, with silvery buds, hence, "extra fancy." The reddish profile produces a light body and a sweet cup of tea.

origin: Sri Lanka formerly known as ceylon. Decaffeinated orange pekoe is naturally processed with carbon dioxide and has a long twisted leaf.

origin: China an ancient tea district in the anhwui province of central eastern China. Keemun brews up rich and dark. It is often described as the "burgundy" of teas producing a toasty and smokey bouquet.

Lapsang Souchong
origin: China large tea leaf from the Fujian province. During the drying process, it is scented with the smoke of burning pine resin. It has a medium body and a low astringency. Strong smoky scent, often compared to fine scotch whiskey, it is an acquired taste to many devotees.

Lychee
origin: China lychee tea is made from black tea which has been scented with lychee peels. Lychee is a sweet tropical fruit that is popular in Asia. When preparing and drinking this tea, one is instantly amazed with its strong, pleasantly sweet, fruity aroma. When brewed the tea has a reddish brown hue and a light sweet honey-like taste. It makes an excellent ice tea and can be served with sugar and/or cream.

Earl Grey
earl grey was originally blended in England over 200 years ago. Bergamot oil adds the exceptional perfume that gives this tea its characteristic flavor. It is delicious at any time of the day with or without milk.

origin: China green tea grown in the fujian province of China. It is scented with the jasmine, flower. Light bodied, smooth and up lifting, this slightly sweet, aromatic tea offers a spell of floral delight.

Jasmine Yin Hao, Extra Fancy
origin: China silver tipped, green tea scented with fresh jasmine petals. It absorbs the essence of jasmine. The flavor is slightly sweet and finishes very clean.

Lung Ching, Dragon Well
origin: China grown in zheajiang province this emerald liquor possesses a deep aroma, and a sweet green flavor.

Lung Ching, 1st Extra Fancy
origin: China grown in zheajiang province this is the finest grade lung ching tea. The aromas are deeper, sweeter and greener then the dragon well variety.

Gunpowder
origin: China gunpowder is named from its appearance. Tightly rolled black pellets increase its freshness. This tea presents a rich amber liquor color that is well balanced between a green flavored sweetness and a subtle smokiness.

Kyoto Sencha
origin: Japan grown on the gentle sloping hills of kyoto, where the morning misty dew drops gather on the green sencha leaves. It is steam cured to preserve its flavor and health benefits. The bright emerald green infusion conjures a fresh, clean flavor.

Genmaicha
origin: Japan genmaicha is a blend of sencha green tea and toasted rice (or popped -rice). It possesses a slightly sesame note, and a combination of flavors that encompasses a medium body, smooth and bright roasty taste.

Ti Quan Yin, Extra Fancy
origin: China oolong tea from the fujian province. In mandarin, ti quan yin means "iron goddess of mercy," a name derived from local legend. This tea is arguably the finest of Chinest oolongs, with competition-grade varieties selling for thousand of dollars a pound.

Jade Oolong, Extra Fancy
origin: Taiwan formosa, meaning "beautiful" is what the Dutch explorers called this island. Unlike its dark brethren, jade oolong tea is almost green in appearance with large, hand-rolled leaves. Once infused, the leaves unfurl to release this tea's delicate notes, exquisite flavor, and enchanting fragrance.

Rooibos
origin: South Africa rooibos is harvested during the summer time. Green rooibos is picked, bruised, then cut using a tobacco cutting machine. It is fermented in mounds and then spread out to dry in the sunlight. This enhances the flavor of tea and gives it a vibrant red colour. Rooibos tea is caffeine free making it a soothing drink, with the sweet flavor of mandarin.
