chicken tenders! trivia! the chicken tenders here are fantastic and modestly priced compared to other such grills (applebee's, charlie gs, chili's). The fries are always the bomb and they have fairly good beer prices to go with the tenders. $8 I believe for a pitcher of killians which is a great beer to get on draft. On thursday nights they used to have sports trivia, im pretty sure they stopped doing it but we used to come in every thursday to get tenders, beer, and have a fun time answering sports trivia. awesome for a late night i love the location of this checkers because of its closeness to campus and its 24 hour capability. im not sure why allmenus has the average checkers entree at $12.00 because that is way wrong. the total of 3 people's orders is probably less than $12. i used to always get the chili dogs and a checker burger and what's great is that you never expect it to be great food(like the varsity), because the price makes up for it. good 2am - 8am snack. service slackers we were there with a group of 12 for a friend's birthday because he loved charlie g's food. i must admit the food was dynamite but the service was poor considering she only had four tables max. we were located upstairs and youd think it wouldnt be hard to remember that you have a table of 12 hungry students waiting to get pitchers of beer and food. the tip was well deserved for the service; she couldve made a lot better effort to get that 20%. i dont believe that gratuity was included.
