Cafecito Bogota
Brooklyn, NY
Good Coffee, nice cafe I generally only go here to take a coffee break...I live just a few doors down. So I can say the coffee is pretty good and the guys are pretty friendly. Now and then I pick up a pastry that catches my eye but I think they are a little expensive for what they are so I generally skip the food. But it's got that cozy, comfortable cafe feel that I like about it. I do wish they opened earlier, I think they would do a good business with people heading to work picking up coffee and a bite to eat. Reviewed on 03/27/2008

Good roasted chicken The roasted chicken is pretty good. You can get quarter, half, or a whole chicken for almost what it would cost just to buy the chicken at the grocery store. You can get sides of rice and beans or fries, but often I just get the chicken and make a salad at home. The green sauce they give you on the side is really good, I'm not sure what it is but it's good. I've eaten there as well and everything I've had has been pretty good, some of it is heavy duty fried fair. Like the hot dogs on French fries or steak on fries...which is good but you may want to pencil in a nice long jog the next day. Service is always pretty good. I have had a few over done roasted chicken there, a little too long in the roaster at the end of the day. But usually everything is good. Reviewed on 03/27/2008

Oasis
BROOKLYN, NY
Can't go wrong Oasis is a great place to stop if you're getting off/on the L at Bedford and need a quick bite to eat. It's incredibly inexpensive and surprisingly delicious. Sometimes you get what you pay for but I get a smaller, not-as-good Falafel sandwich in Manhattan for about three times the price. The sandwiches are big and loaded up with toppings and their hot sauce is pretty good as well. For $3 you can get a big, healthy, yummy, sandwich, you really can't ask for more than that.
