SHEENA

I work for a local PR agency in Atlanta that focuses on the food industry (especially restaurants). I guess you could say I eat for a living and I love it!

  • Thailana

    ATLANTA, GA

It was... ehhh I've always remembered seeing this place when I'm sitting at the light at the Johnson Ferry/Ashford Dunwoody intersection but could never remember the name. So what did I do? Got on Allmenus, punched in my neighborhood, then selected Thai cuisine and walla - Thailana. We ordered take out and picked it up in less than 15 minutes. I was surprised it was actually ready in such little time. The speedy service was a plus but the food left something to be desired - like taste. The shrimp cakes were cold and rubbery. It was as though they were cooked earlier in the day, left out and then heated up in the microwave. My Pad Thai wasn't that great either. I don't eat Thai food all that often yet I've had better. My boyfriend liked what he got - the green curry. I admit that I didn't taste it so there is no review of that dish. In the end, I wasn't happy with the dinner and I don't think I would go back. • Carolyn's Gourmet Cafe

    ATLANTA, GA

Bonus- delivery to Buckhead! The office decided to order from Carolyn's for lunch last Friday after finding it on allmenus. Most of us ordered salads and atleast one person had a wrap. After putting in my order for the greek salad with chicken I began to get weary of having a salad delivered from Midtown (our office is in Buckhead) during a hot day in Atlanta but was surprised when it arrived fresh as ever. The chicken strips were great and I loved the little cracker. The balsamic vinaigrette was delish! They went a little overboard with the feta but other than that I really enjoyed it. Next time I'm going to try one of the wraps - they looked really good! Reviewed on 05/29/2008
  • Elwood's Pizza

    ATLANTA, GA

Great Neighborhood Pizza Joint Elwood's might be in a Kroger parking lot, but the pizza makes up for the unfortunate location. When I first moved to Brookhaven I thought Mellow Mushroom was the only option for good pizza. Then I decided to check out Elwood's after seeing it everytime I finished my grocery shopping. Let me tell you, I haven't turned back. The pizza is perfect with golden crust and ample toppings. I love how I can order and not hear "that will be 45 minutes." No matter how busy the restaurant is, the pizza is always ready on time and in less than 25 minutes. These guys know what they're doing and they do it good. Not that I have any, but it seems to be a very kid friendly place. If you're not interested in high pitched screams, order it to go! Reviewed on 05/21/2008
