This place is one of the truly authentic ethnic restaurants that makes it a joy to eat in NYC. It's likely you will never have heard of any of their beers, but they're all great. Plus you can get them served to you in a 1 liter boot. How great is that? Oh - and the food is awesome too. Go for a sausage platter or one one of their other German specialties. It's all delicious.

First off, they'll serve you beer in a boot, which is just fantastic. And second, it's the last vestige of the great German food that used to be all over this neighborhood.
