Now that 2nd Ave is Gone...
This is probably the best deli in town (and there's a lot of delis in town). The salamis are great, the corned beef is wonderful, and the tongue is tongue-errific. My only complaint is about the chopped liver -- the now defunct Second Ave. Deli had the best one I've ever tasted, and I wish Katz's would steal the recipe.
Save yourself a bit of a headache and head for the tables with waiter service. Sure, it's cool to watch the guys chop your meat, but then you have to fight for a table, too. Posted by jonsurfs on 07/20/2007
