Good Food, Great Atmosphere

This restaurant is amazing! They have fantastic seafood and you can even get a low country broil dinner with an over piling plate of crawfish. The view from the Patio is the best view of the city I have ever seen. Gator Bites are a great appetizer and the fish and chips is battered onsite using Sweetwater (locally brewed). The wait is long on weekends, but you can call ahead and make reservations. Valet parking can be avoided by parking in the lot right next door, but make sure to take you valuables; there have been lots of reported break-ins.

great seafood

There are a lot of places to grab sea food in atlanta, but 6 feet under offers a great selection of whatever you're in the mood for. As for price, it may be a bit steep for the casual diner, but it is definitely worth the price. with a great view and atmosphere, this place is worth revisiting.

... Can't lie about this one

6 feet under has the best view of Atlanta from anywhere else in the city. From on the deck upstairs you can see Lenox, Midtown, and downtown all in one panoramic view. The appetizers are also delicious and modestly priced where as the dinners run a bit much but its excellent eating. Last time I was there I had the grilled salmon with a black&tan. Couldn't be in a happier place.

... Rat toes!

Don't take that as a negative review...it refers to one of their appetizers which consists of a jalepeno pepper stuffed with shrimp, wrapped in bacon and dipped in ranch dressing. Delicious. This is a very casual seafood restaurant across the street from the historic Oakland Cemetary. It has wonderful food, fun servers, and a very cool location. If you go early in the evening (7 or 8) be prepared to wait for a table, but you can call half an hour ahead to reserve your spot on the list.

... Six Feet Under - Great Seafood

Scott and a companion shared a Six Feet Under Steamer Platter. The Platter includes steamed oysters, peel 'n' eat shrimp, snow crab legs, New Zealand Green Lipped mussels, steamed clams, andouille sausage, corn on the cob & new potatoes. It serves two to four people. Price is only 31.59. They also ordered a dozen raw oysters and a side of hush puppies. Scott's comments - Great service. Old bar feel - warm atmosphere - very casual. I would give it a 10 out of 10. It's best for Good food, a Quick bite, Family-friendly, Outdoor (rooftop dining), Romantic, and Special Occasion.
