Tried this little place years ago, without much satisfaction. Recently, made a return trip. Unsure if just a chef change or ingredient change, but, food is much more flavorful now. Has become my new lunch and dinner "walk thru". The flavors just pop in your mouth. Give it a try.

... Won Me Over

I am not much of a person for baked goods really and am not the person to go to a bakery. Yet, when my friend convinced me to go to Alon's Bakery Cafe to try the Cheesecake, I was truly blown away. I mean, I have never had such succulent cake before. Even the bread and cheese selection was really impressive. Do not let the opportunity to go here pass you by. This place is great.

wow!

When i first saw this location i did not expect menu items such as garlic roasted lamb, kahlua cheescake, or tiramisu to be anywhere near this type of restaurant being a cafe and bakery. It looked very culturally balanced, and I was very impressed with the selection as well as the taste.

Yum!

I love this place, but I hate the prices. The food is delicious: cookies, salads, soups, bread, chocolates, and more. It's always crowded at lunch time, filled with everyone from all over Atlanta. Be prepared to wait a bit, the parking lot is almost always full. When you're in the mood to spend a little extra for a great lunch, go to Alon's.

... THE BEST BAKERY IN ATLANTA!!!

By far, without a doubt, Alon's is the best family-owned bakery in Atlanta. You will find tons of freshly prepared food, imported cheeses, authentic breads, and mouth-watering desserts! Their baguettes, ficelles, and croissants are the best in town. Located in the heart of Virginia-Highlands, Alon's is well known with all the locals. From what I understand, they have recently opened a second location in Sandy Springs. You must go and try!
