Good food good times

The food is always good there. And it is always a laid back atmosphere. Whether you go for food during the day or drinks at night you won't be disappointed. Tends to be a little pricey but worth it. The restaurant has a fun lay out too. Definitely worth checking it out.

... Great Place to Relax

You will want to keep coming back here after you get some coffee and sit on the patio outside to relax. The atmosphere takes you away from the troubles of life with its calmness. The service is awful but do not let that get you down. Once all of your food is in order, you can enjoy talking to your friends over a nice desert from the menu. For a calm experience, remember to go to Apres Diem.

... nice place for coffee

Apres Diem is a neat place to go for coffee or dessert. They have a great patio for when the weather is warm (and heaters for when it is not). They have really good desserts too. They also have various rooms so you can sit at a table or on couches. It is a good place to meet friends to catch up.

... Fun with Friends ONLY

My ex-boyfriend and I found several reviews online about how Apres Diem was this neat, romantic spot to try with 'candle light,' but it turns out the place is a neat hang out joint with friends. The candle on the table seemed tacky and out of place. The music blasts so loud that you cannot hear someone sitting 2 feet from you. Dinner consisted of eating and listening to the blaring base. Yes, there were booths in the corner that seemed more quiet. We sat by the wall, and the experience was miserable. Service was not that great. It was self seating, and our waiter took forever to make his rounds. The food was not great, even for a Bistro. I ordered a tuna steak and threw up later that night. Overall, this is not a date place, but if you just want to hang out with a couple of friends, consider Apres Diem.

... Great Bar/Restaurant + Patio!

Apres Diem is one of the neatest places to grab a drink or quick dinner in midtown (located off Monroe Drive). As the other review have said, the food and drink is excellent and reasonably priced; however, the service is simply abysmal! Enough said on that. I would rate 5-stars if the wait staff was in the least bit attentive. It gets very crowded at night, but there are many, many tables both inside and out.

... Coffee for the Pretentious

The sad fact of Apres Diem is that the food and drink selection is absolutely wonderful and executed reliably. That's a sad fact because the waitstaff and service is the worst I have ever had while living in Atlanta. Indifferent hosts, uncaring bartenders and completely absent waiters combine to kill any joy that the food might bring. Only people who are chasing after the hope of being seen as "cool" or "hip" (or maybe friends of the staff) would bother going to this grindhouse when there are other, more congenial places in town.

... Bohemian Rhapsody

This is an eclectic cafe located in a strip mall in Midtown that attracts a diverse, bohemian crowd. The appetizers and salads are better than the entrees, but most people come here to drink and discuss philosophy anyways in the dimly lit, romantic lighting. The mussels are always a popular dish, and I particularly like the dried fruit salad. The wine list is cheap and decent, just like a bistro should be. The coffee drinks and the dessert case are not to be missed. Because of its location next to the movie theatre, it's a great dining spot for a dinner and movie date.
