This place definitely has atmosphere. Maybe it being in the middle of the viginia highlands made me expect more of this particular restaurant's dining, but the food isn't bad either. Finding seating is next to impossible at dinner time, and if you're crunched for time, this may not be your most convenient choice

... Come early!

This is one of the hottest spots in the Virginia Highlands and is therefore very crowded every night. Don't expect to get a table within an hour if you come after 7 on a Friday or Saturday. But this being said, it is worth it. Atkins Park has a fantastic atmosphere and is a great singles spot. The food is good and they have a full bar. (Have some soft pretzels with that beer and eye a cutie at the next table!) And for star spotters, I saw the guys from REM there several years ago...
