The Scene
A dark, dingy, and busy bar and sandwich counter. The place is clearly untouched in 40 years, but that only adds to the charm. There is a constant flow of customers, day in and day out, buying price-performing sandwiches for their families, offices, card games, whatever.
The Food
The Triangle has been famous for over 50 years for its battleship subs. This is a 24'' hoagie roll stuffed with salami, ham, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, oil & vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano. Smaller versions are available (like the aptly named destroyer), as well as a super battleship with even more meat. The menu lists other options, such as meatball, hot sausage, roast beef, corned beef, capicola, tuna or chicken salads, etc., for slightly more money.
If You Order One Thing
Good alternatives to the standard Italian are the cheese steak and grilled chicken hoagies.
