Salam serves a large variety of hot and cold appetizers from syria, lebanon and morrocco. Try the delicious chickpea and tahini, hommos or the garlicky eggplant, babaganouj. Merguez sausages are hot and spicy. Spinach pies are flaky and served hot from the oven. Syria and lebanon specialize in fresh salad combinations such as tabbuli with parsley, vine-ripe tomatoes, olive oil and lemon or fetoosh with toasted bread, peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. Salam specializes in delicious hardwood charcoal grilled meat and fish, served with basmati rice pilaf and grilled tomato and onion. Try the tender white meat chicken, or the marinated leg of lamb. Norwegian salmon filet is grilled perfectly to your order and served with sauteed spinach and artichokes. Black Angus rib-eye steak is rubbed with spices, garlic and olive oil and grilled the way you like it. The favorite meat in the middle east is lamb, and the baby rack lamb chops in one of the favorites at Salam. The kebabs range in price from $15-$26. Salam's chef has taken a Syrian favorite, ouzi, and created exotic and tasty variations. Ouzi is fillo stuffed with rice, raisins, etc.
