Here, the namesake is represented by the red and purple color scheme, a contrast to the bone-white furniture straight out of Woody Allen's ''Sleeper.'' But other than the complimentary beet chip starter, the scarlet vegetable is nowhere to be found on the menu, a mixture of standard Thai fare and more intriguing dishes like avocado-mango salad and red snapper with champagne-vanilla butter sauce.
