The Scene
Walls are painted in a quirky yet soothing combination of eggplant, bright sage and mango. Artwork is subtle yet remarkable. Despite hardwood floors and a high ceiling, JoJo doesn't feel at all overwhelming. Extra-high padded booths keep down the noise level and provide a touch of privacy.
The Food
Dinner is less traditional than lunch, which offers a menu of familiar Chinese plates: Sesame chicken, fried rice, lo mein and so forth. On the expanded dinner menu you'll find additional ''wild choices,'' including ostrich, curried lamb and crusted sesame alligator. The appetizers are enjoyable, from the pot stickers (whose sauce could be a tad tangier) to the chicken in lettuce wraps. For dessert, try some red bean ice cream or a slice of midnight layer chocolate cake.
