The Scene
Even though the tables are set with linen and the superb staff wears black-tie, the place doesn't feel stuffy at all. Instead, it's friendly and accommodating. The cozy, dark wood accents make it perfect for dinners by candlelight. Villa Antonio remains an undiscovered gem. It's one of those places that newcomers often overlook because it's neither downtown nor out in the 'burbs. Still, enough long-time Charlotteans call it a favorite.
The Food
House specials include homemade pastas, lamb and seafood dishes, but the menu also offers chicken, veal and steak. Lunch can be offered from the menu or from a sizeable buffet. Don't miss the tiramisu for dessert.
