In Short
Priya specializes in southern Indian cuisine. With the thali, or traditional full dinner, small dishes of vegetable curry, dal, soup, raita and rice, two breads (nan and papadam), and dessert are brought on a tray. Idlis (steamed rice cakes) and dosas (lentil flour crepes) typify the southern diet. Dosas come stuffed with curry or onions and chili and dunked in sambar, a thick lentil soup. Northern favorites include biryanis, curries, tikka masala, vindaloos, koorma.
