The Scene
The Blue Moon is a no-frills cafe: brick walls, wood ceiling, nine tables. Waiting patrons cram into the corners at peak hours as servers cautiously zigzag between tables.
The Food
Whether you prefer classic dishes or house specialties, the Blue Moon has some of the best breakfasts in town. Everything is made well; portions are generous. Try the Full Moon for fluffy French toast (or pancakes), two eggs and bacon or sausage. Looking for something more exotic? The huevos rancheros piles chorizo, eggs, fresh green salsa and cheddar onto two crisp corn tortillas for a taste of the Southwest. And it is Baltimore, hon, so you should try the Maryland crab Benedict. The traditional English muffins are topped with poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce and a boatload of sweet crab, complemented by crispy hash browns.
