In Short
Although puzzlingly placed on the ground floor of an apartment building, the Ambassador more than merits a visit for non-residents. The dining room is dark, with a sophisticated British Empire feel that's enhanced by countless lit candles, traditional Indian artwork, and its tuxedo-wearing, all-male serving staff. As to the chef's specialties, they include lobster khas toasted in fennel sauce, lamb chops with mint chutney and Bengali swordfish topped with a spicy mango salsa.
