Share movie trivia and an array of flavorful snacks at this authentic Spanish hot spot.
The Scene This charming little restaurant in the historic Charles Theater is always bustling with activity. Hip wait staff rush colorful plates from the open kitchen to candlelit tables; friendly bartenders pour countless pitchers of the restaurant's signature sangria--and diners waiting for highly coveted tables crowd the trendy bar and spill into the theater's lobby. Though there's often a wait, it's well worth it. From the massive cathedral-style windows down to the bowls of olives on the tables, Tapas Teatro is the real deal for sophisticated Spanish dining. The Food The restaurant's motto ''Small plates. Big pleasure'' is only half true; the affordable selections of hot and cold tapas are in fact surprisingly large. Standouts include the sauteed spinach served with apples, raisins and pine nuts in a warm maple glaze and the Teatro Tenderloin marinated in a spicy red wine vinegar sauce. The plentiful paella--tossed with a generous helping of seafood and sausage--will satisfy even the biggest appetites.
