The Scene
With an interior resembling an elegant Italian villa, Aldo's is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Baltimore. The service is top-notch: Attentive, tuxedoed waiters pamper customers in the comfortably elegant dining rooms.
The Food
Aldo's serves gourmet southern-Italian cuisine prepared from the freshest organic and free-range ingredients. Each entree demonstrates Aldo's philosophy that a few select ingredients are essential to an exquisite, well-balanced dish, whether an appetizer of jumbo shrimp atop lobster-saffron mashed potatoes or an entr?e of Maine lobster pieces and fettuccine in creamy tomato sauce. A star on an already stellar menu, the tournedos Rossini consists of two seared filet mignons with grilled, buttery Hudson Valley foie gras in a black truffle, porcini and wild mushroom sauce.
The Zagat Survey's Highest-Scoring Italian Restaurant in Maryland, Aldo's features Chef/Owner Aldo Vitale's award-winning and delicately-balanced, southern-influenced regional Italian cuisine served in sumptuously appointed rooms steeped in classical Italian tradition. The media rave about Aldo's, calling it "An Italian Masterpiece" (NY Times), "The Place for Romance" (USA Today) and have recognized Aldo's for offering Maryland's "Best Private Dining" (The Baltimore Sun) and "Baltimore's Best Private Dining Rooms" (Baltimore Magazine). Private dining rooms include a belowground, climate-controlled Wine Cellar and a Medici-inspired Library. Visit the website at www.aldositaly.com for a virtual tour. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to downtown area hotels.
