To be fair, when it is bad appears to have a lot to do with when it is overcrowded. Try to avoid eating dinner here on weekends and holidays, especially during the summer (when this picturesque Marina Bay setting teems with tourists and residents out to enjoy the patio view of the Boston skyline).

Required Eating
On quieter weekday nights and cold-weather weekends, we've had a memorable herb-crusted rack of lamb and a just-sweet-enough chicken Marsala over angel hair pasta. Rolled eggplant is a winner any time, pairing a garlic-herb-cheese filling with the restaurant's bold, chunky marinara. And we can still taste the wonderful garlic-grilled Tuscan bruschetta.

Discouraged Eating
One holiday-weekend night, after a wait of nearly an hour for an inside table, we paid way too much for a handful of homemade lobster ravioli submerged in a cloying saffron cream sauce, and grilled Atlantic halibut obliterated by a hollandaise-like sauce (that the menu purported to be lemon caper vinaigrette).
