The Scene
The Lobster Pot looks like a tourist trap, feels like a tourist trap, sometimes even acts like a tourist trap, but isn't anything of the sort. The Pot, as locals call it, serves some of the finest seafood in town, with a menu that is certainly the most extensive. So fresh is the fish that you could call it Legal Sea Foods South, only with more options.

The Food

Most folks order lobster, which is prepared pan-roasted (with the flavor seared into the meat and served in an open shell), baked and stuffed, broiled, scampi-style or with Newburg sauce. You won't go wrong with the shellfish Algarve, served with shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, calamari and oysters in a spicy garlic and red pepper bouillabaisse over thin noodles. Then again, you might prefer the blackened tuna sashimi, or perhaps the Greek sole, filled with spinach, onion, almonds, black olive and feta cheese.
