In Short
Standing in stark contrast to the Olive Gardens of the world, Comella's tiny storefront churns out lovingly made piles of Italian fare, made from old-school family recipes. Those piles, referred to as ''messes,'' combine whatever's in the kitchen (usually a savory combo of lasagna, eggplant, pasta and meat). Dishes come in three sizes: single (enough for two diners), half-bucket (four) and bucket (eight). Besides homemade pastas and sauces, there are fresh salads and hot sandwiches available.
