When I'm in the mood for Korean food, and I don't want to make the trek out to Allston, Koreana hits the spot. They always have a great assortment of 4-5...read more

Great food- Minimum two barbeque entrees before they let you use the grill. Their 'bacon' pork belly in red wine is really good. Also non-barbecue wise,...read more

The Scene
Located smack-dab between Central and Inman Squares, this bastion of Korean cuisine is a favorite among the many academics and Asian-American families that call the surrounding neighborhoods home. Tabletop grills and loads of natural light yield an upbeat, casual environment, as do the army of smiling, bilingual waitresses who keep water glassed filled.
The Food
With well over 100 items, Koreana's menu is an indecisive diner's worst nightmare. Fortunately, the listings are divided into three categories: sushi, do-it-yourself options (tabletop barbecue and hot pot items), and traditional Korean dishes. Smart patrons try one of each, perhaps starting with a fresh Philadelphia roll, then on to an order of bokembap (Korean-style fried rice) before finishing with a hands-on grilling session (go with the marinated rib eye). Mango ice cream makes for a refreshing finale.
