The Scene
All day long there's seemingly a steady line of customers at this West Cambridge pizza shop. The crust is freshly made, thin and crisp. The sauce is light and slightly sweet with just a hint of oregano. Toppings never overpower the other ingredients.
The Food
Submarine sandwiches are overstuffed on a soft roll. (Try the eggs and pepper--and ask for a slice of melted cheese on top.) The pasta in the ziti plates is slightly overcooked, but the portions are huge; choose between meatball, veal or chicken Parmesan, sausage or eggplant. Homemade lasagna is filled with ricotta and smothered in tomato sauce. The pasta e fagioli soup is loaded with vegetables. Most of the business is takeout, but there are six booths where you can devour a slice and peruse the ''Milky Way in (interstellar) Molecular Clouds'' poster on the wall.
