Seasonal ingredients star in the dishes served at Summer Winter. A sleek interior with dark woods, natural stone elements, and stainless steel features a view of the year-round greenhouse that produces the herbs and greens used in the restaurant's modern American fare. An oyster bar and ''small bites'' menu (''strange flavored'' eggplant, toasted nuts with Hawaiian sea salt) leads into entrees such as braised short ribs and plank roasted duck, each with a choice of starch and sauce. Desserts are made specifically for the restaurant; highlights include a lemon meringue tartlet, and an ice cream bomb with peanut butter and chocolate.
