In Short
Awash in the red-sauced legacy of Italian-American Boston politicos, Tecce's is a straightforward and unpretentious spot to sample some B.N.I. (Before Nouveau Italian) fixings--which, incidentally, aren't half bad. The ''Fabulous Specials'' are all named after local (mostly Italian) luminaries. The heaping plate of ''John A. Nucci,'' for example, was christened such in honor of the clerk magistrate, and is a heaping pile of baked and stuffed calamari over linguini swimming in marinara.
