The Scene
State-of-the-art speakers and video screens, usually tuned to sports, assault the senses. An Irish pub coziness comes out on quiet weeknights, though weekends ring with the celebratory atmosphere of a French Quarter club. For those looking to take a break, the back room features a large fireplace and comfy couches. Black-clad bartenders and waitresses go about their business while slinging drinks.
The Draw
Hurricane's tries its hardest to be everything to everyone. Equal parts dance club, restaurant and sports bar, this is one of the more versatile options around the Fleet Center. Weekend nights see lines of young locals waiting outside to dance to live music or a house DJ spinning popular tunes. Diners can enjoy standard pub fare at reasonable prices for lunch or dinner. The well-stocked bar mixes every drink under the sun; hurricanes, the house specialty, are lethal, super-sweet rum concoctions.
