Financial District ''meet market'' satisfies the after-work hoardes.

The Scene
With rows of rustic picnic tables, high-backed booths, exposed brick and a fireplace, it's easier to imagine having a burger at Coogan's than a dance party, but both occur. During daylight hours, the pub is comfortable and serves as an after-work watering hole for Financial District suits. Once night falls, Coogan's split personality is evident by the throngs of collegiate revelers who proceed to dance the night away.

The Draw
Although you can dine on a sizable menu ranging from burgers to fancier pasta dishes (jumbo shrimp scampi) during the day, the weekend scene is when it really heats up at Coogan's. Thursday to Saturday nights, DJs prevail over the dance floor with top 40 and hip hop favorites. A thriving boy-meets-girl scene is accelerated by the close proximity of so many sweaty gyrating bodies. The bartenders just as often serve one of the 20 draught beers as they do a round of shots.
