this "clam shell" pastry is a traditional neapolitan sweet. this is a flaky pastry shell filled with cheese, semolina flour and citrus fruit. mixed with eggs and sugar with a slight cinnamon/orange flavor.
Lobster Tail
a popular fave. flaky pastry shell filled with a vanilla mousse cream. ig enough to share.
Cannoli
maria's award winning "boston's best cannoli." a crunchy fried dough shell filled with chocolate or vanilla cream, or the traditional sweetened ricotta cheese. filled fresh upon order.
Savoia
a log slice of maria's traditional rum cake layered with either chocolate or vanilla cream and butter cream frosting topped with sprinkles.
Baba Rum
another specialty right from naples. a sponge cake soaked in sugar rum flavoring either plain or filled with vanilla cream.
Pasticiotti
mini pies in a single serving with a choice of creams from chocolate, vanilla and the traditional sweetened ricotta cheese.
White Torrone
a homemade white hard or soft and chewy nougat candy mixed with almonds, shown resting upon two of maria's chocolate log torrones.

sicilian, this soft almond paste and sugar candy is handmade in shapes of fruits and vegetables painted with food coloring for authenticity.

egg dough pastry shaped like a rosette deep-fried with honey and nuts.

fried egg dough pastry shaped like a glove or angles with slits around topped with powdered sugar.

Italian Rum
this "traditional" pleasure seems to only get betternwith time. make any event special with this dessert. sponge cake with rum flavoring and one layer each of chocolate and vanilla pastry cream.
Cassata Siciliana
this classic italian cake is a dream for your taste buds. the perfect mix of sponge cake, strega (sweet italian liquor) coupled with sweetened ricotta cheese and chocolate chips or citrus fruit and marzapan paste all around. a treat for any occasion.
Panna E Fragola
maria's special version of the classic strawberry shortcake made only with the freshest strawberries and homemade whipped cream. the fresh, light taste is not just for summer but because it is made with the best ingredients, a favorite all year.
Parigina
the classic mille feuille, made with layers of flaky pastry, sponge cake with rum flavoring and maria's delicious pastry cream. it's a must eat!
Zuppa Inglese
a very unique mix of savoiardi (lady finger cookies), chocolate and vanilla cream and amerena cherries. doused with rum flavoring and fresh whipped cream. oval shaped served on a platter.
Tiramisu
this new age italian specialty is made with maria's homemade savoiardi and a careful blend of mascarpone cheese, espresso coffee and coffee liquor topped with cocao. also available in single cup servings as shown here.

traditional homemade chocolate and white cake with a choice of butter, whipped and chocolate cream frosting. choose a variety of fillings from jams to fresh fruit.
Ricotta Pie
sweet italian cheese cake made with ricotta cheese in a soft crust. also comes with chocolate chips or chocolate swirl.

the traditional biscotto is either a twice baked hard toasted cookie or a once-baked soft cookie.
Regina
(cookie of the queen). these tasty tea biscuts are a little crunchy and completely covered with sesame seeds.

(cookie of the king). this flat vanilla flavored cookie with lines running down. also known as a great baby biscut.
Zuccherati
this bagel looking cinnamon sweet bread is covered sesame seeds. maria is the only one who still makes these traditional treats.

all spice chocolate cookies covered with chocolate frosting.
Savoiardi
(lady fingers). soft vanilla biscut doused in powdered sugar. also used to make tiramisu.
Napolitani
a soft fruit biscuit mixed with citrus fruit and red/green candied cherries.
Taralli
an italian breadstick with fennel seeds. either plain, no fennel or black pepper as shown here.

like every good italian in america, maria's celebrates this festival of plenty with an arry of great tasting pies to fill your dessert table including apple, pumpkin, mince, custard cream, blueberry and of course everybody's favorite, ricotta! "bones of the dead." a hard chewy cookie with a slight cinnamon flavoring and a crisp meringue puff on top.

Panettone
an italian version of the american fruit cake, rest assured, this won't last long. a very tasty, not too sweet coffee cake with pieces of candied fruit are a great way to start the day or end any special meal. maria caries both homemade and imported from italy.
Mustaccioti
like the totos, this is an all spice cookie, diamond shaped with chocolate frosting. they are made either with plain or filled with fig, walnuts and citrus fruit

(March 19th).
Zeppole
beginning the end of january, maria prepares this sicilan speciality known as the "zeppola di san giuseppe." a light egg dough fried to a soft shell filled wioth either ricotta cheese, whipped cream or the traditional filling of vanilla custard cream and amaretta cherries. you won't be able to get enough, but beware. once march 19th, passes...they're gone!

Pizza 'Chiena'
or "rustica" as some may know it is not a sweet but practically an entire meal, minus the dessert. this salty pie is made of a light flaky crust filled with ricotta and parmesan cheese along with an array of cold cuts including prosciutto, ham, and salami. it doesn't get any tastier than this.
Colomba
the easter dove is as beautiful as it is delicious. similar to the christmas panettone, this dove shaped sweet cake is ideal for either breakfast or dessert. topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar with a soft bready inside containing candied fruit, you'll know it's the holidays. maria carries both homemade and those imported from italy.
Wheat Or Rice Pies
this old italian tradition has made its place in the most american environments. a traditional ricotta pie mixed with either rice or wheat is typical for an easter dinner.
Egg Bread
not exactly what you may think, this slightly sweet egg bread is also topped with a hard boiled egg and glazed. this is a complete breakfast. you'll enjoy every sweet bite.
Marzipan Lambs
this beautiful centerpiece makes an even better dessert, delicious marzipan inside with a hard sugar shell and decorated with candy and chocolates, it's hard to resist.
