This place can be a lowkey Irish pub, or it can be a jam-packed college dance bar. Just make sure you know what you get yourself ...read more
The Scene
On the outside, Kinvara looks like any pub you'd find in Dublin. And the inside--dark even in broad daylight--is no different. Tables and benches surround the main room's central bar, and fill up quickly during peak hours. Strategically placed TV sets stay fixed to sports channels. Friendly waiters, fresh off the boat from Ireland, enthusiastically answer any questions.
The Draw
Kinvara packs in the crowds, especially on weekends, with live Irish music, dancing, great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The bar has sixteen beers on draft at all times. During the week, pub-sponsored dart, rugby, football and softball teams hang here after games. Alongside a menu of standard pub grub, the kitchen offers several authentic and exceptional Irish dishes: Irish sausage and fries go down smoothly with an ice cold draft, while shepherd's pie arrives hot out of the oven, and tastes even better than your grandmother's.
