The Scene
Connected to the Radisson Hotel, Rustic Kitchen's numerous dining areas often host a fair number of out-of-towners. But local business types and surburban couples also come to drink and dine, thanks to the restaurant's airy, street-side lounge area and unique cooking classes (held in the working TV studio in back). The bar holds one of the city's few 2:30am licenses, meaning patrons can take their time finishing their pomegranate margaritas and homemade sangria.
The Food
Upon entering, it's hard not to notice a wood oven and handmade pasta station. The exceptionally lengthy menu includes lots of Old World comfort fare, including thin-crust pizzas, rich tagliatelle Bolognese and ravioli stuffed with veal and ricotta. Fresh seafood (spice-crusted tuna) and fine meats (proscuitto-stuffed chicken) are served with aplomb. Homemade desserts run the gamut from a sinful warm chocolate cake to cooling, fruity sorbets.
