The Scene
Those looking for an alternative to coffee don't have to look hard to find this palace of tea, as it enjoys a high-profile location on Newbury Street. The tea bar is staffed by experts familiar with the more than 100 varieties on offer. Downstairs, an intimate dining room provides a mellow spot to read a book or chat with a friend over a pot of tea. The seasonal outdoor patio is a prime people-watching spot.

The Food
The main draw is the impressive tea selection, which includes many hard-to-find imported leaves. There's something for everyone: simple breakfast teas, rare green teas from Japan, unusual herbal varieties (papaya and pineapple), and so on. Smoky chai drinks are a customer favorite. To go with their tea, patrons can order freshly baked scones and crumpets, as well as tasty toasties (warm pressed sandwiches) and fresh salads.
