The Scene
International tourists, business types and Thai-loving students break here from shopping on Newbury Street, networking at the nearby Hynes Convention Center or studying at the nearby Boston Public Library. Tiny green lights hanging over tiled tables and floors, accentuating the small and somewhat trendy greenish-blue room. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out on a handful of sidewalk tables bathed in natural lighting.
The Food
Locals exalt the noodle and curry dishes especially. Flavorful drunken noodles (tofu, chicken or seafood over stir-fried rice noodles with chili peppers, bean sprouts and assorted vegetables and spices) are more than most can finish in one sitting. Although the menu describes itself as ''Exotic Thai Cuisine,'' nothing here is particularly exotic. However, the restaurant offers a separate menu for its Thai customers, including several items not featured on the American menu, with extra herbs and spices more palatable to tongues accustomed to traditional Thai flavorings.
