The Scene
While Scoozi's tiny, subterranean dining room is rarely filled to capacity, its bustling sidewalk patio serves as one of Newbury Street's most popular hangouts for the young and fabulous (expect to overhear conversations in any number of languages). Such is the see-and-be-seen vibe of this casual pizzeria that most diners arrive dressed to the nines; even the harried, black-clad waitresses make sure their hair's in place.
The Food
Did we mention the scene? Better pizza can be found elsewhere in the city (or even down the street at Sonsie). But no one seems to mind, as long as the sun is shining and the model wannabes are out in full force. Skip bland, thin-crust pies in favor of fresh salads or tasty pressed panini sandwiches (try the tomato, basil and Mozzarella). Or skip dinner entirely in favor of above-average interpretations of tiramisu and other dessert favorites.
