The Scene
Local couples and South American expats turn out in droves to devour reasonably priced, authentic Argentinean cuisine served in large portions. In between courses, patrons enjoy a unique, colorful atmosphere created by an abundance of imported Latin art and music. Those unfamiliar with Argentine wines wisely allow their capable, bilingual waiters to recommend selections from the restaurant's intriguing, affordable list. On weekends, expect a wait for seating at one of the benches out front.
The Food
Fans of carnivore-friendly Argentine cuisine appreciate the authenticity of the house parrillada. Tango's take on the national dish -- an epic assortment of rich beef, pork and chicken parts -- isn't for the meek. The less brave order delectably seasoned steaks made from grass-fed cattle or one of an assortment of fish or pasta dishes. For dessert, try the deliciously eggy flan (opt for a dollop of caramel on top) or a jelly roll made with fresh peaches.
