The Scene
Wood paneling and brass rails, with scattered pictures pay tasteful lip service to the fox-hunt motif. Don't take the pub handle too seriously; this sprawling billiards-and-beer restaurant is no cozy corner cafe. An array of mounted televisions displays sports events and video Muzak. The handsomely appointed Green and Burgundy Rooms offer a plethora of felt pool tables and a massive giant-screen TV each.
The Food
A serviceable fusion of family restaurant and sports-bar fare with an emphasis on familiarity rather than inventiveness. The standbys--pizza, burgers, sandwiches--are comforting and filling, about on par with any Bennigan's or Shoney's. Barbecued ribs are tangy and rewarding, while the fish and chips (a nod to the very British decor) is a surprisingly sturdy choice.
