The Scene
The only authentic Spanish restaurant in the city has a tiled interior with a gleaming copper bar. Burgundy tablecloths hide the rioja you may accidentally spill from the earthenware pitcher placed atop your table. With Spanish music playing in the background and the savory scents of tapas filling the air, you're transported several thousand miles in just a few minutes.
The Food
Garlic shrimp, sizzling in hot olive oil, dance on the tongue with flavor. The popular lobster paella is a scrumptious mixture of saffron rice, lobster tail, vegetables, sea scallops, shrimp, muscles and calamari. Both the roasted chicken and lamb are so tender they fall off the bone in succulent shreds of juicy meat. Dessert shouldn't be missed with the lemon-scented crema Catalana, a sweet custard with a carmelized sugar topping.
