The Scene
A typical buffet is a chaotic hunting and gathering session, but the Chien Dynasty boasts an incredibly calm atmosphere; the mauve and salmon colors and dimmed lights create such a mood. Roses on each table nudge it into something more romantic.
The Food
From the mild mushroom pork to the tongue-torturing Hunan chicken, the afternoon buffet is lined with a variety of tastes. While one may not notice the difference between this and any other Chinese buffet, the food is nonetheless quality servings of full flavor. During dinner, the buffet is put away, but it hardly matters with the enormous amount provided on one plate. The Mu Shu chicken is served as a mound of chicken and veggies with a side of Mandarin pancakes (tortillas) with Hoisin sauce. You know a Chinese food restaurant has faith in its food when bottles of soy sauce are nowhere to be found.
