The Scene
The blues and acid-greens on the walls and the three-dimensional layered ceiling give the dining experience a serene quality, even though the dining room may be a bit noisy. Tables are decorated with Gerber daises floating in water. The dining room and the bar tend to be separated by age, seniors in the dining room and young professionals soaking at the bar.
The Food
You'll be missing something if you don't start out with the mushroom and gruyere cheese tart topped with salad greens and a zinfandel reduction. The monkfish, marinated in paprika, melts in the mouth, and the rack of lamb glazed in guava barbeque sauce is a marvel for all senses. Quite possibly, the romance of this whole endeavor lies in the splitting of a chocolate espresso cake or the Cava margarita float (tequila lime sorbet swimming in champagne).
