In Short
If the name doesn't give the theme away, then the knotted pine wood and low beamed ceilings will. The cozy cabinlike setting - complete with oars and fish hung on the walls - screams lakeside lodge and has a menu to match. Tavern classics like buffalo wings and fried calamari open the meal for heartier staples such as fall-off-the-bone St. Louis ribs, juicy Prime Rib and locally caught Great Perch and Lake Superior Whitefish. While locals love the meat, the signature chopped salad, layered with blue cheese, pasta, lettuce, tomato and bacon bits, is not to be missed.
