The Scene
This inviting, expansive space beckons with multicolored, rectangular stained-glass partitions, cobalt glasses atop white linen-clothed tables and the smell of fresh-baked bread wafting through the dining room. Decked out in their Sunday best, 30- and 40-something couples fill the place.
The Food
Grazie's menu is packed with classic Italian dishes, all whisked to tables by crisply attired servers. To start, plump shrimp cocktail is presented on a granite block atop red leaf lettuce with sweet cocktail sauce; herbaceous, crisp fontinella fritti (fried cheese) rests on spicy red pepper-flecked marinara. Entrees include veal done Marsala-, piccata- and Parmesan-style; grilled chicken caprese shines with an inspired topping of balsamic-soaked basil, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Chocolate fettuccine--ribbons of sugared brownies topped with creme anglaise, raspberry and chocolate sauces on vanilla ice cream--is gooey good fun for all ages.
