Diners--many Northwestern students--grab to-go orders from a tiki hut counter, though a fair number opt to get served in the casual dining room, which recalls the islands with tropical paintings, plants and wicker pineapples looming from above. Michael Morales, a Parkers Ocean Grill vet, preps everything from Korean short ribs with kimchi to slightly sweet, meatloaf-like mini burgers topped with Kewpie mayo. There's chicken or pork katsu, a pulled pork and pineapple sandwich and salmon lomi-lomi as well. Little caters to vegetarians, save a lone tofu plate. Upbeat pop tunes complete the light-hearted experience.
