The Scene
With nautical memorabilia on the walls and a big fish tank in the dining room, Davis Street Fishmarket has a casual, comfortable atmosphere that helps pack in customers nightly. Tables are tight in the low-lit dining room, which buzzes with families and dates; if you want to stretch out, grab a high table in the more laid-back bar area.
The Food
Dozens of seafood options range from lobster and crab to lake trout, bluefish, scrod and other catches of the day. Half a dozen succulent jumbo shrimp make up a satisfying cocktail, and stone crab claws are fresh and meaty. Crab wontons and crab cakes are other starter choices. Main plates include favorites like zippy, peppery blackened shrimp served on a skewer, and Alaskan king crab legs, substantial and delicious with a little butter.
